Today I spent my time on the farm leveling the ground so that I can make my raised beds on the perimeter of the brick square. I chose limestone bricks to line the beds because we have so many lying around the farm that are not used.
Before the rain came, I raked the beds and then flattened them out for a super long time (my arm muscles nearly died) with a stamping tool. Limestone rocks are super heavy and I was surprised by how tired i got by only completing the first layer of my project.
After working for about two hours on leveling the soil, I spent my last hour hanging out in the howdy farm house while it was raining. I love how this farm is so peaceful. It has been a great semester so far!
