During late winter, before the buds opened up and the branches were bare without leaves, we propagated a fig tree. The propagated branches were placed in a large container filled with perlite. They were placed in a mist bench. The mist prevents the plants from drying out during its root formation. Since then, the roots have begun to establish, so it is time to move them into their separate container. Having all the fig trees in one bucket can lead to competition in uptaking nutrients.
